From 12 to 16 March 2018
The Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) is the United Nations central drug policy-making body. The Commission has important functions under the drug control treaties in force. To have more information on the CND, you can watch a video here.
The 61st Session will take place from the 12nd to the 16th of March 2018. It will be the last major drug policy gathering of the international community before the 2019 target date set out by the 2009 Political Declaration and Action Plan.
How to participate ? If you are a member from the civil society, your organisation has to hold an official status with ECOSOC. Otherwise, your organisation can connect with the International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC) in order to participate within the delegacion of another NGO that holds this status. For more information on the issues that are likely to structure the debates, a webinar will be available here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4hw-ONbLbs)
